Clover Hill Stream Restoration

Client Type: Environmental
Service Performed: Environmental,Surveying

This is an unnamed tributary to the Little Tuscarora Creek. This restoration isincluded in a watershed plan to protect an existing population of native brook trout found in Little Tuscarora Creek.  The water flow once originated from a spring prior to development. The spring flow terminated and now surface water predicts yearly intermitted flows.  An extended detention stormwater management pond is located upstream of the restoration and allows for some base flows to generate stream flow. Regional curves from the Piedmont Hydrologic Region were used for the bankfull discharges and channel characteristics.

The project was divided into four phases: assessment, design, construction and a five year monitoring program.
